The Transition Area/Interfacility Traffic Area Citizen's Advisory Committee is a 12-member body appointed by the City Council. It serves an advisory role for the residents and businesses of the Transition and Interfacility Traffic areas located between the urbanized regions of the city to the north and the rural area to the south. Committee members are appointed to three-year terms.
Responsibilities
- To become familiar with and provide advice to the City Council concerning the provisions and recommendations of the Comprehensive Plan (Comp Plan) pertaining to the Transition Area and ITA, including, the Princess Anne Commons and Transition Area, the Transition Area Design Guidelines, the Interfacility Traffic Area and Vicinity Master Plan, and all future amendments to the Comp Plan and studies related to the Transition Area or ITA.
- To engage in public information efforts to improve communications between the residents and businesses of the Transition Area and ITA and the City, and to provide a forum to discuss matters related to the Transition Area of ITA.
- To monitor and report on public projects and plans within the Transition Area or ITA to the Council and provide recommendations for remedial actions, as necessary.

Meetings are held at 5:15 p.m. the first Thursday of each month at the Municipal Center, 2416 Courthouse Drive, Building 19, Room A.
